Attention Junior Olympic Visitors flying in to Reno and/or driving Westbound Hwy 80 to the Tahoe/Truckee area: Winter driving conditions are currently upon us and expected to last through this weekend.  Before you leave Reno please call Caltrans Highway Information Network @ 1 800 427-ROAD (7623).  Listen to prompt requesting Hwy # and say or press 80.  Listen to prompt requesting area (San Fran or Northern Cali and Sierra Nevada) and say or press 2. 
 
Chains may be required on all vehicles except 4 wheel drive vehicles with snow tires on all four wheels.  You may need to purchase chains before leaving Nevada.  Here are three options with chains available for all vehicle sizes including 15+ passenger vans..
